TCS Healthcare Technologies

It’s no secret that the TCS team loves to attend industry events. In addition to the many others that we have already attended this year, we will be present at the California Association of Health Plans’ (CAHP) seminar entitled “Using Data to Improve Health Care,” which is something TCS helps our clients do every day. This event will take place on June 16 in Sacramento, California.

According to the agenda, “Our health care system is rich with data. However, this bounty of data can make it overwhelming to manage the competing demands from different health care initiatives. Government and large purchasers want data regarding costs and quality to drive affordability. Clinicians want more patient-specific data in order to improve treatments. Plans and providers strive to improve medical record-sharing. This seminar will focus on how three different efforts to improve our health care system depend on data and how data could be used to increase affordability, improve clinical treatments, and effectively manage care.” Topics include:

  • How Transparency Can Drive Competition
  • Tying Cost & Quality Information to Payment Reform
  • Using Electronic Health Records to Reduce Unnecessary Care
  • California Initiative to Advance Precision Medicine
  • Health Information Exchanges

In addition to attending this informative seminar, we are also proud to say that we are one of the sponsors.  Not only will we have the opportunity to meet a diverse group of attendees, we’re looking forward to learning more about how data continues to drive healthcare delivery innovation and how TCS can help our clients progress their own data initiatives.

The CAHP’s Seminar Series provides great depth, technical insight and information to help industry professionals improve their daily operations. Since 2004, they have offered a wide array of seminars on current and recurring health care issues and trends that attract a broad audience of industry peers. Past seminars have covered diverse topics such as medical management, biotechnology, disease management, pharmacy management, obesity programs, IT outsourcing and managed care trends.
